Hidden Messages of Water
Dr. Masaru Emoto is internationally known as the author of the best selling books Messages from Water, The Hidden Messages in Water and the True Power of Water. He was a long-time advocate for peace in relation to water. Before his transition he was the head of the I.H.M. General Research Institute and President Emeritus of the International Water for Life Foundation. We shared his book Love Thyself with the Grandmothers at the 2011 gathering. Love Thyself shares what Dr. Emoto learned about the nature of water in his research. Specifically how water is connected to our individual and collective human consciousness. His books explore how our health and wellness and that of the planet are impacted by the power of our thoughts, words and feelings.
The Nature of Water
We have all probably heard that “There are no 2 snowflakes that are the same”. One day while thinking about this truth it dawned on Masaru that the snowflake state revealed the individual face of each water drop and that it might be possible to take a photo of it. His hypothesis was that the photo would give him information about the state of water. He froze water and took pictures of the crystal.
When water freezes, its molecules systematically connect and from the nucleons of a crystal; becoming stable when it has the structure of a hexagon. Then it starts to grow and a crystal appears. This is the natural course for the water. However, he discovered that if unnatural information is forced upon it, it’s not able to form a harmonic hexagonal crystal. He learned this by investigating water from different places and by asking the question: Do water crystals look different under different circumstances? The answer was YES! Water taken from a natural spring took completely different shape than water from a dam or tap water. Water “reacted” to the experiences it went through during its journey and stored that information.
Knowing that water carries a memory, he experimented with placing words on glass beakers, then freezing that water. Then he brought people together to meditate and offer prayer over polluted bodies of water. Sometimes the people praying were not present at the location of the water and yet there was improved change in the water in its ability to crystalize.
Astonished, he realized that water is connected to our individual and collective consciousness. Our very thoughts, words, emotions and intentions can affect water in both positive and negative ways. This revelation has profound implications for our health and the well being of our planet. For what is the substance that most occupies our bodies and that of the planet? Water. We are approximately 70% water and the Earth is @75% water. Of that 75 %, only 1 % is fresh-water and Lake Superior is 20% of that 1%.Emoto states that water is an honest mirror.The photos of the crystals clearly show the effects of environmental factors on living systems. The crystals also show us that we are not helplessly exposed to these negative influences. Through our love and appreciation we can actively place a healing process into motion.We are empowered.
